French Translation In Malaysia: For Study, Visas And Careers Abroad

Heading to Lyon for a master's, joining a firm in Montréal, or bringing French papers into Malaysia? Our French translation in Malaysia works both ways between French, English and Malay. Birth records, transcripts, contracts and hospital reports all keep their full meaning. Every page is signed by the translator and stamped with our company chop. We also tell you plainly when a French office wants its own court-listed translator.

We do French to English translation and French to Malay, and Malaysian papers go into French. You receive a complete signed copy, our company chop and a PDF for upload. Malaysian offices and many universities take it. Some offices in France or Belgium want a translator from their own court list, so we check that with you first.

  • French, English and Malay, both ways
  • Accents and hyphens kept as passports show
  • Honest about court-listed translator rules
  • Signed PDFs, ready for online portals

French Civil, Academic And Business Records Translated In Malaysia

French paperwork has its own names and habits. A birth record comes as a copie intégrale or a shorter extrait. Results arrive as a relevé de notes marked out of twenty. Companies in France show a Kbis extract, while OHADA countries use the RCCM. Here are the papers we see most, in both directions.

Sample Relevé De Notes Rendered From French Into English

French transcripts look simple but hide traps. Marks are out of twenty, and a mention sums up the overall result. Subject names follow the French school system. Below is an invented extract from a baccalauréat transcript, with our French to English translation beside it. A short translator's note explains the grading scale for the reader.

The finer points

French Conventions Our Malaysian Linguists Respect On Every Page

French is precise, and official French even more so. Small habits change how a page reads in English. Accents carry meaning in names. Grades and dates follow French rules. Each Francophone country also keeps its own words. These are the details our linguists in Malaysia watch on every page, whichever direction you need.

  • Accents And Hyphens In Names

Hélène, François and Jean-Luc keep their accents and hyphens when the passport has them. If it prints HELENE, we match that and add a note.

  • Copie Intégrale Or Extrait

The full copy shows both parents and every margin note. Many French offices want a recent one, often under three months old.

  • Grades Out Of Twenty

French marks run from 0 to 20, and 12 is a solid result. A short note stops an English reader from misjudging it.

  • France, Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec

Belgian and Swiss texts write septante and nonante for seventy and ninety. Quebec writes courriel where France often says e-mail.

  • Court-Listed Translators Abroad

France lists translator experts at each cour d'appel, and Belgium keeps a national register. We are not on these lists, and we say so.

  • Dates And Money

    Le 1er mars 2026 becomes 1 March 2026. A sum like 1 500,00 € becomes €1,500.00, so no figure is misread.

Not sure whether your French office wants a court-listed translator? Ask it in writing before you order, and we will read the reply with you.

How we work

A Calm Path To Signed French Translation In Malaysia

Whether you write from Kuala Lumpur or from Lyon, the steps stay the same. Scans go in, a price comes back, and signed PDFs follow. For students and professionals who need document translation services Malaysia, we keep each stage short. You review names and grades before we sign. Payment comes only after you accept the quote.

  1. Step 1

    Scan Each Page

PDFs from your mairie, school or bank work best. Clear phone photos work too.

  2. Step 2

    Tell Us The Destination

Campus France, the embassy, MDEC, a Quebec office or an employer. We check its rule.

  3. Step 3

    Receive One Quote

One written price and ready date for the whole file, with any extras listed.

  4. Step 4

    Accept And Pay

Pay online once you agree, and a French linguist begins on your file.

  5. Step 5

    Translate And Review

A second linguist checks grades, figures, accents and legal terms against the original.

  6. Step 6

    Approve The Draft

You confirm names, dates and course titles before we sign and chop.

  7. Step 7

    Signed PDFs Delivered

PDFs arrive ready for any portal. A courier brings paper copies only if you ask.

French Page Rates, Extras And Timing For Malaysian Clients

French work starts at a set rate per page. A single acte stays modest. A full study or DE Rantau bundle has more pages, so the total grows. We count pages from your scans and send one written figure. Each extra, such as a notary seal or courier, sits on its own line.

Starting price

RM140

per page, starting price

RM140 is an opening figure for one clear page, not the final total. Notary seals and courier copies are listed separately.

Get my exact price

What decides your final price

  • Pages In The Bundle

One acte costs little. A twenty-page visa bundle costs more in total.

  • Language Direction

French to English, English to French and Malay to French are priced per pair.

  • Tables And Figures

Bank statements and payslips full of numbers take longer than a certificate.

  • Technical Or Legal French

Contracts, OHADA statutes and medical reports need specialist care.

  • Old Stamps And Handwriting

Older civil records and handwritten margin notes need slower reading.

  • Speed And Paper Copies

Rush work and courier copies add to the total; PDFs alone do not.

In a hurry? Is a Campus France or MDEC deadline close? Up to three short pages can often be ready within a day. Larger bundles usually need a few working days.

Pitfalls That Stall French Files Between Malaysia And Europe

French files rarely fail on language alone. They stall on rules, versions and small details. These are the slips students, spouses and professionals describe to us most. They are drawn from real enquiries, not an official list. Each can cost weeks before a semester or a start date. We check for all six first.

  • Assuming Any Translator Will Do

Some offices in France or Belgium take only a translator from their own court list. A file can then come back.

We ask which office will read it and say plainly if a listed translator is needed.

  • Sending The Short Birth Extract

An extrait without the parents' names may be too thin for a visa or marriage file.

We tell you early when a copie intégrale is the safer version to request.

  • Dropping Accents From Names

Elodie and Élodie can look like two people when papers disagree.

We follow the passport exactly and add a short note where spellings differ.

  • Leaving Grades Unexplained

A 13/20 can look weak to a reader who expects percentages.

We add a translator's note on the French grading scale.

  • Translating English Papers Needlessly

Quebec and many universities already read English. Paying for French can waste time and money.

We check the office's language rule before quoting, so you translate only what is needed.

  • Expecting A JPJ Licence Conversion

Drivers sometimes order a private copy for a JPJ conversion that names other routes.

We tell you before payment and point you to the route JPJ lists.

Had a file returned by a French office? Send us its message. We will tell you honestly whether we can fix it or another route fits better.

Plain Replies On French Paperwork For France And Quebec

Still not sure?

Send your question with the quote form. A translator replies, not a bot.

Ask your question

Is Your French Copy Suitable For The Études En France Procedure With Campus France?

Campus France and each university set their own document rules. Many accept English, and some ask for French. Check your Études en France account or school letter first, then we prepare whichever language they request.

Do You Appear On The French Embassy's List Of Translators In Kuala Lumpur?

The embassy publishes an information list of translators and says it is not a list of approved translators. We do not claim a place on it. The embassy asks applicants to check for themselves whether a locally approved translator is required.

What Is A Traducteur Assermenté, And Can You Act As One For France?

In France, it means a translator listed as a court expert at a cour d'appel. That status belongs to the French justice system. We are a Malaysian company, so we cannot offer it. If your French office insists on it, we say so before you pay.

Will A Commune In Belgium Take A French Copy Made In Malaysia?

Belgian offices often want a translator from their national register of court translators. Some accept other certified copies. Ask the commune in writing first, and we will advise on the clearest route.

Do I Need English To French Translation For Quebec Immigration?

Usually not for English papers, because Québec reads both French and English. Malay papers need a professional translator's signed copy in either language. We can turn your Malay papers into English or French.

Which French Documents For DE Rantau Does MDEC Want In English?

MDEC's FAQ says documents must be in English or come with a certified English translation. That covers contracts, invoices, bank statements and the casier judiciaire. Send the full list for one bundle price.

Can You Do A French Birth Certificate Translation From The Copie Intégrale For My Malaysian Spouse Pass?

Yes, we translate the full copy, including every margin note. For some applicants, JIM also mentions embassy and Wisma Putra confirmation. Ask your JIM office which stamps it needs, and we list extra steps in the quote.

Will A French Medical Report Translation Help My Claim With An Insurer Back Home?

Insurers here usually want certified English copies of hospital papers. We keep amounts and drug names exactly as printed. A second linguist checks every medical term.

Will JPJ Convert My French Permis De Conduire Using Your Copy?

Not for a licence conversion, as JPJ names other routes. Our copy still helps an employer, an insurer or an internship office.

Can You Translate OHADA Company Papers From French-Speaking Africa?

Yes, we translate statuts, RCCM extracts and contracts from OHADA countries into English. These states share one business law, written in French. Company names and registry numbers stay exactly as printed.
