German Translation In Malaysia: Checked Line By Line For Study, Work And Trade
Germany asks for paperwork in a precise order, and so do we. Our German translation in Malaysia turns German records into English or Malay for banks, JIM and employers. We also put Malaysian degrees, police certificates and company papers into German. Before you pay, we check which German office will read the file. Some want a translator appointed by a German court, and we say so plainly.
Yes for most Malaysian offices, and sometimes for German ones. Each German to English translation, or German to Malay, comes complete with our signed statement, the company chop and an emailed PDF. German universities, uni-assist and recognition offices often want a court-appointed translator instead. We check your office's rule first and tell you honestly.

Deutsch In, Deutsch Out: Each Direction Covered Across Malaysia
Work for German papers runs in a few clear directions. German records come here for banks, JIM and employers. Malaysian records go to Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Pick the row that matches your file. Each row shows what people usually send and what you get back. Mixed files are fine, so a Swiss degree with a French page still goes in one order.

Purpose by purpose
Universities, Recognition Offices And Employers Reading German Document Translation
The reader decides the format, not us. A German university, a recognition office and a Malaysian bank each want something different. This table lists the purposes we see most and the rule each reader usually follows. Where a reader insists on a translator appointed by a German court, we tell you before any payment. That keeps your English to German translation budget safe.
Uni-Assist And German Universities
- What the reader usually asks for
- Papers in German or English; translations only from translators authorised under oath or admissible in court
- What you receive
- Malaysian degrees in English often need nothing. Where German is needed, we say honestly if our copy will not meet the rule
Anerkennung For Nurses And Engineers
- What the reader usually asks for
- Translations by publicly appointed or authorised translators; some offices refuse ones made abroad
- What you receive
- Ask your office in writing first. If it accepts a translation from abroad, we prepare the full German set
EU Blue Card At The German Embassy
- What the reader usually asks for
- Originals plus copies, a CV in English or German, a ZAB statement if the degree is not listed
- What you receive
- German or English copies of Malay-only papers, ready for your appointment
Embassy Certification Of A Translation
- What the reader usually asks for
- Wisma Putra stamp on the original, then a translator from the embassy's own short list
- What you receive
- We are not on that list. We tell you before you order, so you choose the right route
Malaysian Banks And Home Loans
- What the reader usually asks for
- German payslips, tax notices and bank statements in English, sometimes with a notary seal
- What you receive
- Certified English with every euro amount matched; notary seal on request
JIM, MOTAC And JPN Files
- What the reader usually asks for
- German civil records in English or Malay for spouse visas, MM2H or marriage registration
- What you receive
- Certified copies with names spelled exactly as in each passport
German Business And Technical Files
- What the reader usually asks for
- Handelsregisterauszug, contracts, Betriebsanleitung and safety data sheets in English or Malay
- What you receive
- Per-word quote, a shared glossary and a second check before delivery
Each office sets and changes its own rule. Check its latest written checklist before you order.

German Zeugnis Extract Beside A Certified English Rendering
This short, invented extract comes from a German bachelor's certificate. It shows how a German to English translation keeps grades, credits and seals readable for a Malaysian employer. Names follow the passport. The German grade stays visible, with the scale explained once. Real orders cover the whole page, including every stamp and signature line, not just these lines.

Know-how for German
Umlauts, Grade Scales, Compounds: German Language Know-How In Malaysia
German looks familiar on paper, but small details change meaning. A grade of 1,0 is excellent, not poor. A comma inside a number marks the decimal point. These six points come from real German files our team handles. Each one is checked twice before a translation is signed. Together they explain why app output often fails an officer's reading.
-
Umlauts And The Letter ß
Müller may stay Müller or become Mueller. We copy your passport, and Straße never turns into Strabe.
-
Decimal Comma, Day-First Dates
1.234,50 € is one thousand two hundred and thirty-four euros fifty. 03.04.2025 means 3 April, not March.
-
Long Compound Nouns
Words like Aufenthaltserlaubnis or Unbedenklichkeitsbescheinigung are opened up into plain English, never left as one block.
-
Grades That Run Backwards
In Germany 1,0 is the top grade and 4,0 is a bare pass. We add the scale so a Malaysian reader sees the real result.
-
Austria And Switzerland Differ
Austrian papers say Jänner and Matura. Swiss German drops ß. Terms follow the country that issued the paper.
-
Titles And Certification Words
Dipl.-Ing. and Mag. stay as academic titles. Words like beglaubigt, ermächtigt and Ausfertigung each get one precise English match.
Tell us which country issued your German paper. Germany, Austria and Switzerland often use different words for the same record.
Fixed sequence
Ordering English To German Translation From Anywhere In Malaysia
Everything runs online and takes a few minutes. You never need to visit anyone. We are a Malaysia-based team offering certified document translation for overseas use for official and business papers. The steps below run in the same order for every German job. The rule check comes early, so nothing is translated for the wrong reader.
-
Step 1
Name The Reader
Tell us who reads the file: uni-assist, a Landesamt, the embassy, a bank or JIM.
-
Step 2
Upload Every Page
Scan fronts, backs, seals and attachments. Phone photos work if all four corners show.
-
Step 3
Rule Check First
We read that office's translation rule and flag any court-appointed translator requirement in writing.
-
Step 4
Fixed Quote, Then Payment
You get one price, one date and any extra steps. Work starts after you pay.
-
Step 5
Glossary, Then Translation
Your German linguist builds a term list, then translates every line, stamp and footnote.
-
Step 6
Second-Linguist Review
Another linguist checks names, grades, figures and dates against the source. You approve the draft.
-
Step 7
Signed Delivery
Signed PDF by email. Paper copies follow by courier, with a notary seal if ordered.
No payment until you accept the fixed quote.
Clear arithmetic
Per-Page And Per-Word Costs Of German Translation In Malaysia
A German certificate page starts at the figure below. Final prices depend on direction, page count and how dense the text is. Manuals and contracts are counted per word instead. You get one fixed total in writing before you pay. Extra steps such as a notary seal or courier appear as separate lines, so you can drop any you do not need.
RM140
per page, starting price
RM140 is a rough figure for one standard page, not your final price. Manuals are quoted per word, and notary or courier costs sit on separate lines. Ministry fees are paid at the counter.
Get my exact priceWhat decides your final price
Direction Of Work
German into English is priced differently from English into German.
Pages And Back Sides
Seals, footnotes and back pages each count toward the total.
Module And Grade Tables
Long transcripts with many modules take more checking time.
Word Count For Manuals
Manuals, contracts and data sheets are priced per word.
Layout Rebuilding
Scanned PDFs with tables cost more than editable Word files.
Extra Steps You Choose
Notary seal, courier and express are added only on request.
In a hurry? Embassy appointment this week? One to three short certificate pages can often be ready within about a day. A notary seal usually adds one working day.

|---|---|---|
| Express turnaround | Short certificates with a close appointment | Added per page |
| Courier copy | When the reader insists on paper copies | Flat fee by destination |

Rejected German Files And The Errors We Catch Beforehand
German files rarely fail because of bad grammar. They fail because of order, rules and spelling. These six problems come from real enquiries about German papers in Malaysia and abroad. Each one can cost weeks or even a semester start. We check for all of them before your German document translation is signed, and we flag gaps early.
-
Translating Before The Wisma Putra Stamp
The German Embassy wants the original legalised by Wisma Putra first. A translation made earlier misses that stamp.
We ask where the paper is in that chain and time the German text after the ministry step.
-
Assuming Any Certified Copy Works
uni-assist turns away translations from ordinary agencies. Applicants can lose an intake while they redo the file.
We read the reader's rule first and tell you when a court-appointed translator in Germany is the safer route.
-
Paying For Papers Already In English
Malaysian degrees and transcripts are usually issued in English. Many German readers take them as they are.
We look at each page and quote only what truly needs German.
-
One Surname, Three Spellings
Müller, Mueller and Muller on one file make an officer question identity.
We fix one spelling from the passport before translation starts and keep it everywhere.
-
Grade Scale Left Unexplained
A Malaysian employer sees 1,7 and thinks it is a weak result. A good candidate looks average.
We add the German grading scale once, as a short translator's note.
-
Private Copy Sent To JPJ
JPJ takes only a German Embassy or ITBM translation for licence conversion. Other copies are turned away.
We say this before you pay and never sell a copy JPJ will refuse.
Got a rejection letter? Send it with your file. The wording usually shows exactly which rule was missed.

Nurses, Engineers And Exporters Review Our German Translation Work
These notes reflect the kinds of German orders we handle most. Nurses preparing Anerkennung files, engineers moving on a Blue Card, students heading to Germany and firms with German manuals all appear here. Names are hidden for privacy. Read them for the method: rule check first, careful translation, second check, then a signed file.

Answers About Uni-Assist, Anerkennung And German Papers In Malaysia
Still not sure?
Send your question with the quote form. A translator replies, not a bot.
Ask your question
Does The German Admissions Portal Uni-Assist Read English Papers From Malaysian Universities?
Yes, if your university issued them in English, uni-assist needs no translation. For other languages it accepts only translators authorised under oath or admissible in court, or the issuing school. It does not accept plain agency copies. We check your papers and tell you honestly before you order.
Does A German Recognition Office For Nurses Accept Translations Made In Malaysia?
Some do and some do not. The official Anerkennung portal warns that some offices refuse translators appointed abroad. Ask your Landesamt in writing before you order. We prepare the German set only once you have that answer.
Why Is The German Embassy In Kuala Lumpur Pointing Me To Its Own Translator List?
The embassy says Malaysia has no translators who meet German court rules. It keeps a short list of translators whose signature it certifies. We are not on that list, and we tell you so upfront. If your German office wants that certification, use a listed translator.
Do I Need German Translations For An EU Blue Card Appointment In KL?
Often not for everything. The embassy's Blue Card checklist asks for a CV in English or German, and most Malaysian degrees are in English. Malay-only papers, such as some JPN records, may still need a translation. Check the latest checklist, then send us only those pages.
Should My Good Conduct Certificate Reach Wisma Putra Before The German Translation?
Yes, for papers the German Embassy will handle. Its guidance says the original is legalised by Wisma Putra first. The German text then covers that ministry stamp too.
Can You Translate A German Handelsregisterauszug For A Malaysian Bank Or SSM?
Yes, into certified English, with company names and register numbers copied exactly. Many banks also ask for a notary seal. Ask your officer, and we add that as an extra step.
How Do You Keep Part Names Consistent Across A Long German Operating Manual?
We build a glossary from the manual before translating. One German term stays one English term on every page. The glossary file is yours to keep for the next manual.
Can JPJ Convert My German Führerschein Using Your Translation?
No. JPJ takes a translation from the German Embassy or ITBM for conversion. We tell you this upfront, so you do not pay twice.
My Austrian Matura Certificate Is In German. Will A Malaysian University Read Your English Copy?
Yes, most Malaysian universities and EMGS accept a certified English copy. We keep Austrian terms like Matura and Jänner correct. If the admissions office wants a notary seal, we arrange it.
Do Malaysian Engineers Moving To Germany Need Their Degree Translated Into German?
Usually not for the Blue Card itself. A ZAB statement of comparability may be needed if the degree is not listed in anabin. Using the protected title Ingenieur can also need approval from a state engineering chamber. Ask that body which language it reads.
